Des Moines River Smallmouth
I love catching smallmouth bass. If you've caught them before, you know how they fight. The 15 incher pictured was caught on ultralight gear and fought like an 8 pound largemouth. One of my goals this year is to figure out the smallmouth fisheries in my area. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Hopefully today is an indicator of how good it can be.

City Pond Fishing
Caught in a city pond in Des Moines, IA on a fly rod. Certainly not the biggest bass ever caught, but those two qualifiers make it more significant.
